Choosing your plan

Plan Option Available to Pilot Participants

Five different plans were offered as part of the pilot project, each with a different technology option and payment method. Drivers had the choice to report miles using a Smartphone, geographic positioning system (GPS) devices, or simple reporting devices with no GPS technology; or they could opt out of using technology altogether by paying a flat rate in lieu of a per-mile fee. These plan options do not necessarily represent those that would be available under a future system, like the current road usage charge bill being considered by the Oregon Legislature.
